I can create a variety of dishes that will ensure you and your guests experience real taste sensations, with many artistic ideas for presentation, and diverse styles of food developed over many years of professional working.

I can discuss ideas with you so that a personal menu is created in discussion with you which reflects your tastes and interests; developing your likes and favourites in new and startling ways. Similarly I can create an event menu for your occasion, taking into account any special dietary requirements and your likes and dislikes. My food is of an extremely high standard and whilst creativity is my lifeline what is also important is that the tastes on your plate both compliment and startle each other in new and tantalising ways. You and your guests will experience ‘art on a plate’ as some of my clients have reported.
I am a professional chef with over 25 years experience in the catering industry. Initially in Great Britain and 6 years living on Crete; working to a quality and rosette career path and specializing in consultant practices with many years spent travelling, working on separate assignments for high class businesses before fulfilling my dream of setting up my own small gourmet restaurant.
Since 2005 I have been based in East Crete (a very special sunny place) where I renovated and opened a small restaurant, with overall charge of cooking, buying, selling day to day running .We have been featured in a variety of catering magazines and papers:

Why become a personal chef? I have previously been employed as a personal chef in England creating special occasion meals. Since running The Lemon Tree Restaurant in Crete it has really been a natural evolution from creating gourmet food in my small restaurant to developing a number of personal menus for clients who have come to The Lemon Tree Restaurant so that they experience a meal that has been a truly amazing taste experience, personal and memorable. It is thus a natural step to bring the experience to you recognising that not everyone can make the trip to us! Thus my motto has become ‘have apron, will travel!’ I am available to work throughout Greece and the rest of Europe and beyond. A Desire for Chocolate Sample Menu
Red Wine, Blue Cheese and Chocolate Pate – A smooth full tasting blue vein cheese softened with a fruity red wine and blended with warm chocolate; served set from the chiller.
Mussels with Chocolate and Chilli – Pan fried Green Lip Australian Mussels cooked with wine, herbs, cream, and chocolate with a pinch of prized chilli powder.
Warm Dough Balls Stuffed with Chocolate and served with a Butterscotch Sauce – A soft yeast risen dough, classic to bread and pastry making, stuffed with chocolate and rolled into balls. Pan-fried and served on a sweet butterscotch sticky creamy sauce.
A Relaxing Sample Menu
Prune, Almond and Feta Parcels – Rolled out pastry with sweet cooked prunes, slightly salted almonds and crumbly fresh feta. Sprinkled with mixed seeds and baked until golden.
Chicken Fillet with Prawn and Herb Mousse – Prime chicken fillet enveloped and filled with a fine prawn and herb mousse; folded together and cooked in a creamy white wine sauce
Bananas with Bacon – Peeled bananas wrapped in Parma ham, bread crumbed, deep fried and served with Cretan honey.
A Sample Dinner Menu
Prawn, Orange and Octopus Kebabs – A combination of fresh prawns, chunky orange pieces and octopus skewered on wooden sticks, marinated in Aegean sea salt, white and black peppercorns with a timbale of rice
Pan Fried Beef Fillet – Prime beef fillet, pan fried and finished in the oven with a red wine and butter cream sauce.
Double Baked Chocolate Pudding – Slices of fresh bread or brioche, cooked and layered with cream, butter, sugar and chocolate.
All meals are served with a complimentary Lemon Tree Liqueur - The perfect liqueur to end your meal
Sample Christmas Menu
Mulled Wine - A warming glass of wine, perfumed with orange and a magical blend of spices
Pate Du Jour - A blended smooth pate of chicken and pork served with ‘Toffee Apple jam’ and toasted fingers
Sorbet - A homemade fruit sorbet to cleanse the palette and refresh the appetite
Mushroom Tart - A little treat of mushrooms cooked with white wine and cream, put to rest in a herby cheese tartlet case, served with a herb salad
Chicken Fillet - Chicken breast filled with a prawn mousse; served with seasonal vegetables and potatoes
Dessert - Traditional Christmas pudding, accompanied by vanilla cream custard
Coffee - Freshly ground coffee with handmade rum truffles and home-baked shortbread biscuits
This menu offers a leisurely served feast of flavors which reflect the season but ensure you experience taste sensations in artful and creative ways
